Please Note: My personal journal is now fully independent of my main personal Web site, but I am still working on some things such as my new page designs and many improvements to PageDrive, my software that runs my journal site. I walked down the street to check on the duck and she was still there, sitting in the auto shop's outside bay nearest the sidewalk. She did not let me get very close to her, though.
I called the after-hours line for Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority—actually a Campbell Police line, it seems—and I was told that they could not do anything for the duck at this hour unless I could manage to catch her, in which case I could also take her to Central Park, which may have been her destination anyway. I am not sure what to do now; I could probably round her up if I had another person to help me, but I do not. I hope she will be OK.
