I just returned from Taco Bell, where I go more often than I should as much for the opportunity to leave my apartment as for their reasonably inexpensive food that seems less greasy than other similarly-priced fast food, and after getting out of my truck, I noticed some rather significant dents and scratches behind the left rear wheel well. It looks as though another vehicle hit mine while I was inside the restaurant.
It seems strange that I did not notice the damage when getting back into my truck at Taco Bell, but I did approach the driver's side door only after walking around from the rear of my truck, so I did not have a full view of that side, and my attention was partially captured by some peculiar paint (possibly a symbol or possibly overspray) in the next parking space. It is remotely possible that the damage occurred at another time and place, but it seems highly unlikely that I would have failed to notice it if the damage had been there when I first got into my truck to drive to Taco Bell.
I was already not exactly having the best day and this latest development has not improved it.
